EI发的钱是不是不用交税?
LG看了报税的那本书,说EI发的钱不用交税的,报税的时候可以减掉EI的收入,不知是不是这样的? 谢谢! |

regular EI - yes. You must report in your Tax. Maternity and parental EI - No. It is tax-free. Check the HR website and Revenue Agency website. Everything is there. Do not worry about your tax report, and also do not think Revenue Agency is foolish. If anything goes wrong, they will correct it. If you owe them money, they will get it and the interest back; if they owe you money, they will return it and interest back to you. They have your income information because the bank and your employer will send T4 (or other slips, such as T5) to you and Revenue Agency at the same time. If you make a wrong tax report, no problem, they will correct it. However, if you cheat, they will correct it and may sue you. 此帖于 Mar 3rd, 2006 14:28 被 nicehh 编辑。 |

Repayment of benefits at income tax time When you file your income tax return, if you received maternity, parental or sickness benefits during the taxation year, you will be exempted from benefit repayment no matter what your income is. But, if you received either maternity, parental or sickness benefits and regular benefits within the same taxation year, you may be required to repay some or all of the regular benefits. For more information and examples on repayment of benefits... Please see the follow link. http://www1.servicecanada.gc.ca/en/e...html#Parental3 引用:
