[My timeline:
2002.4 submitted bufflo
2002.10. file number
late 2003(forget the exact date) transfered to Detriot and an interview
required.
early 2004, Detroit officer waived my interview and asked updated infor, new form, FBI crime clearance, medical exam,....
2004.6 medical exam, updated form.
2004.8 asked my passport, landing fee.
they told me that I must send passport and landing fee in two months
also I can get the visa in person.
that is my story, hop it is helpful for all of you

你是什么原因被要求面试,后来为什么又被免了.我也被要求面试.可是我回国了,不知道被转过去以后,象你这样免面试的机会有多大.

I didn't do any thing about the waive of my interview. I was prepairing the interview, the waiver latter came.
I don't know the real reason. but I think when Bufflo assessed my application,
the pass mark was 75, after that they decreased the pass mark to 67.this is possible reason Detroit waived my interview.

我收到面试通知，可是体检表也寄给了我，你当初也是这样的情况吗？有点糊涂，一般都应该是面试通过才应该给的，不知道理解是否正确。

我04年1月的FN，现在被要求12月22日去LA面试，我人在国内，但在美国待过6年，其间回来过。现在有几个问题想请教：
1.因为有配偶，她从来没出去过，是否申请美国签证比较困难。
2.要求配偶去，但好像也没说不去会有什么问题，只是说努力申请美国签证。
3.如果就我拿到签证，去面试有意义吗。
4.如果都没拿到签证，我打算补充些材料。告诉他不能拿签证，不知道会怎么样。
希望有同样情况的移友能帮忙回答一下，同事也想联系同一天去LA面试的朋友，谢谢。

I guess your application must be submitted in USA before you backed to China. I'm currently live in San Diego and have the similar situation as yours. Unfortunatly, I'm not quite sure your questions, but I will ask my attorney for you.

If you don't mind, can you please share some of your time line information with me? I want to know how long does it take to get the interview schedule from LA? I have waitted for almost 6 months, still get nothing, don't know when it's the end, here is my time line:

FN: April 2004
Notice of interview required from Bufllo: Nov. 2004
Case transferred to LA: March 2005

有专门打指纹的公司，自己到黄页上就能查到。一般都在杂货店里边。

没有呀，黄页上在什么栏目里面？我在finger开头的里面只看到做指甲的

应该是在notary里，不过我也记不太清楚了，不过能查到那种公司，即使他们不做，也知道那里做，一移民局旁边有很多做指纹的公司的。

我在北京，被要求去LA面试，今天运气好，拿到美国签证了，可是不能确定面试后怎么办，是在美国一直等签证，还是回国等。各位有遇到一样问题的吗，麻烦解答一下，是不是应该先在国内把体检做了，谢谢！

最好问移民官，你能在美国长待？好像没有听说谁在没有通知的情况下做体检的。

不能长待，B签证。通知我了，在面试通知到了以后就去体检。

You should finish the Medical exam two months before your interview. Please remember, always make sure you are waiting for them, don't let them have the chance to wait for you something.

谢谢，我12月22号面试，周末去体检，看来有点晚了，入关的时候让官员能把我的有效期延长一些。

Hi,
I just got the passports back and the imm. visa will expire at the end of this Dec.
The problem is my wife, my older son and I are in USA now, my little son is in China now.
My parents' applications for US B2 visa were denied last week. I have no intent to come back this month and bring my little son back to US because I am worried about security check...

1. Can my older son, my wife and I land at the border of US and Canada without my younger son? We plan to return to USA after landing.
2. If 1 is possible, and my younger son fail to land on time, any consequences for him and for us? He was born at USA.
Is it possible we cannot come back to Canada because of that? The officer may suspect we did not have intent to move to Canada at all.
3. Who can I contact? I only have the fax number of buffalo. Should I send them a fax? Or anyone know some phone numbers?

I think there is no problem for you guys to land without your younger son. You can explain this situation when the immigration officer asking you. By the way, if you want your younger son to land with you, you can also ask your friends who will go to USA to bring your son together, or require the airlines to mail your son, I think they provide this service. I will come back USA on 15 December from China, but I am not sure I can bring him. But if we are in the same palne, I maybe can take care of him.

应该不会加速审理进程，因为你的材料不全，就算先寄一部分，也还在哪儿等着不处理，不久多一个月时间吗，还是弄好了一块寄吧，我估计把材料补上，就应该给你发体检表了。

他应该是做FBI的指纹，最多一个月就够了。
