Job Description:


Looking for a Network Technical Specialist with 5-10 years of experience to join their team for a 6 month contract. This individual will be required to perform the following tasks from day 1 with no ramp up time (we are looking for a seasoned individual that can hit the ground running):

· Testing code on routers and switches

· Certifying code related to performance, functionality and inter-operability with network devices

· Fail over redundancy

· 3rd level support – will be situational, will especially be involved if the issue involves testing



Required Skills:

· 5-10 years of Network Support / Network Specialist experience; having moved into a Network Specialist role over the course of their career

· Testing code on routers and switches

· Certifying code related to performance, functionality and inter-operability with network devices

· Fail over redundancy

· Expertise with Network management tools – monitoring, coordinating VA scans with security

· Routing, configuring routers and switches

· Routing, protocols, OSPF, BGP, VLAN

· Configuring devices

· Experience having built a test environment and reporting on the testing with documentation – high level end to end

· 3rd level support

· Cisco certification(s) and/or Network certification(s) (ie. Juniper, Avaya)

· Ability to work on your own



Nice to Have:

· Financial/banking experience would be nice to have, but is not required
