If you search channels by FTA only, you will not be able to watch pay channels.

Assume you want to watch TVs on Nimiq1, check the following:

1.Bin File Version
Menu/Accessories/About STB
H/W Ver ???? (Latest ver: 1.44)

2.Satellite & Signals
Menu/Installation/Antenna Setting
Satellite Name - Nimiq 1 (91W)
On top of Quality & Strength - Found : ???? (Must be Found: Nimiq1)
Quality: ???? % (Should be more than 50%)
Strength: ???? % (Should be around 80%)

Search for FTA + Pay Channels:
Menu/Installation/Antenna Setting
Satellite Name - Nimiq 1 (91W)
Press "Auto" (Red Button)
Only FTA Channels Search? "NO"
Do you want to delete the existing program? "Yes"

If everything above are ok, you should be able to watch pay channels with no problem.

Did you turn off the receivers before you unplug/plug the cables ?

Hope you didn't "burn" the switches.

I would try to use a new switch and see what happen.

All FTA receivers should be good with it, the dish and LNBs should be pointing to 91W and 82W.

You can use your receiver to try it out before get one for your friend. Remember to set the DISEqC switch to "Legacy SW - SW21" which is normally used by bev.

Are you sure all channels "still" working with 1.65 ?

1.64 & 1.65 had been working since yesterday until 8pm est this evening.

Edit: Same as 12 26 bin for Viewsat ultra - people are switching back to the Jan. 8 file now.

Edit: and the Coolsat files are not new any more. They were released and posted everywhere earlier today before the 8pm hit.

真是奇怪，我昨天晚上用的cv8000,竟然一直没有问题，cw800竟然有问题，不过新的bin,换台非常快。

经过几天使用，发现cw的机器比sv的明显对信号有放大作用，sv的经常出现信号为0的情况，cw从来没有，可惜cw3000不支持mpeg4.

Do you mix the 118/119LNB with other LNBs thru 4x1 diseqc switch ?
