在家领妈妈金,又雇佣保姆可以申请抵税吗
在家领maternety leave 福利金,又雇佣一个保姆帮忙照顾一下小孩子,年底报税的时候可以把她的佣金去抵减我的收入吗,我有2万多一点的政府福利金和5000元左右的房租收入。如果需要现在就需要她写一封收据,中文行吗,他一点英文都不会,谢谢

The receipt has to be in official language and the caregiver has to put her SIN number on it. The government will audit it, so she has to file income tax to match the amount. If you hire the caregiver to care for your child as a result of you to earn income, go to school, or conduct research , you can claim in your tax return. Your taxable income ($25k - $8k) will be saving about 15.25% x daycare amount in tax I don't see any contradiction between receiving maternity benefit and claiming daycare expensive, so I think you can do it if you provide good reasons (ie. work, school, research?). Here are some facts to note: While receiving maternity benefit from government, you are allowed to work as long as the employment income is less than 25% of your weekly benefits. Rental income is counted as investment income, so it won't affect your maternity benefits at all. |
