Pharmacist and Pharmacy technician are two different stories. A pharmacist can be either hired by a hospital or a drug store, or run his/her own business. In my hospital,Pharmacy technician's salary is roughly about $25-$28/hr, but not many opportunities.There are very few positions posted internally every year in my hospital. You also can find pharmacy technician positions from Workopolis wedsite, but salary not posted. I believe it should be lower that hospital's. Many colleges, either private or public, have pharmacy technician programs. You have to pass the licence exam after you are done your program.
