Senior P&ID Design Draftsman/Engineer – Global Oil & Gas Technology

CB&I Lummus has job opportunities for a Senior P&ID Draftsman/Engineer, based at its headquarters in The Hague, The Netherlands.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:
- Development of P&ID (process, utility and distribution) from scratch to AFD which include indentifying instrumentation for operational control and safeguarding.
- Review client specifications related to P&ID and line data.
- Provide the 2D CAD group the client approved P&ID symbol library, drawing framework and drawing header box.
- Prepare project specific instructions for P&ID development
- Develop client standard hook-ups if different from LGN standard such as pumps, safety valves, control valves and sample stations
- Prepare schedule for the preparation of the diagrams identifying all steps and cycle lengths and timely inform 2D CAD group of the services required
- Ensure that all systems engineers use same set-up
- Fully understand the function and purpose of each item shown on the P&ID
- Based on operating and safeguarding philosophy add all lines and instruments necessary
- Prepare Tie-in, auxiliary and demolition P&ID
- Incorporate design and vendor information onto the P&ID during EPC phase
- Identify design changes and participate in the approval process of changes
- Notify other disciplines in writing of approved design changes to P&ID and line list
- Coordinate input from process engineering and other engineering disciplines onto the P&ID
- Back check the diagrams drafted by the 2D CAD group
- Develop and prepare mechanical design diagrams (MDD)
- Set requirements and review pipe specification
- Take part in 3D model review
- Identify special piping items
- Coordinate input from process engineering and other disciplines onto the line list
- Prepare tie-in schedule and maintain the tie-in number index
- Review and comment on vendor prepared P&ID
- Prepare line list for Authority engineering and commissioning.

Required Education and Experience:
- You have a minimum of 7 years experience working as a P&ID Design Draftsman/Engineer in EPC companies (Oil and Gas industry).
- You should have proven strong communication skills. Your English is fluent.
- You have obtained at least a Bachelor degree in a relevant discipline.
- You can provide a letter of reference testifying to your performance from a past or current employer.
