Sorry, I did not fully understand --- thought was a parking ticket. Parking ticket? charge to the owner. --- in this case, you dont pay. Other ticket like speed, charger to the driver; so you still have to pay --- in this case, the wrong plate number does not matter to the ticket. |

不交罚款的机会很小。READ THIS, HOW TO DEFEND A TRAFFIC TICKET (c) Traffic Ticket Improperly Filled Out The evidence that the prosecution presents to the court must be consistent with the information set out on the traffic ticket. As we have suggested, an error concerning the nature of the offence or the form of the ticket may allow you to make a preliminary objection which will get the charge dismissed. But sometimes there will be a technical error on the face of the ticket which affects the prosecution's ability to prove the fundamental or specific elements of the offence. For example, the date or location may be wrong. Your name may be misspelled and your identity thus put in doubt. If the prosecution fails to catch these errors and presents evidence to the court which either confirms the error or is inconsistent with the written ticket, draw these errors to the attention of the Justice of the Peace after the prosecution's case is finished. In most cases, the prosecution will be allowed to amend the ticket to accord with the facts. But if the error is misleading, or prevents you from answering the charge properly, you may be able to get an adjournment (a later hearing date) which will give you a chance to reconsider your defence. If the ticket is full of errors, the Justice of the Peace may dismiss the charge because the errors raise some doubts about the competence of the peace officer at the time the ticket was made out. |
