accoring to ESA, is it necessary to notify the employer ahead of time if I want to quit my job.

That would be nice. But if you don't do so, you still get your pay check.

many thanks for "lao jiu"'s reply.

1.I have another questions. after I quit my job, can I go to "老工部“to file a claim for the whole public holiday pay owed by boss (in total 6, since I worked there last december) because my boss refuse to pay that, that is one of the reasons I quit the job.

2.can I get EI (hours is enough)with this reason--- my boss doesn't follow the ESA---a law
