I recommend you learn by yourself, it save you a lot of money, and it is faster to get the license, because you don't need to follow the schedule of school. You can get material from somebody who passed examination. I have helped some friends to pass the examination. I know a friend on HuaFeng pasted the examination in two months. In my opinion, it is not very helpful to go to school. There are a lot of school providing the training of millwright, I think almost same .

我想发这个帖子要实施的具体内容大家可以提可行的建议,我先提两点:
1.工作信息-----希望已有专业工作的朋友告诉大家一些身边或看到的就业信息,帮助自己国家的移民.大家也可以发表自己对行业的了解,指导其他人能够有的放矢的找工作,象我以前甚至都不知道哪些公司可能用到我的技能

millwright就像前两年的MCSE，现在在加拿大移民多的地方满街都是！哈哈

But to my opinion and in my experience, a millwright license is very usefull in jobsearching. I got more than 20 interviews in two month and at last got a job, I felt I got many help from my millwright license. If you got a license, focus on somewhere else than 加拿大移民多的地方 such as Toronto, it is easy to get a mechanic job.

You don't need licesce or certificate as a mechanical drafter or designer.

But I saw some friends got such lisenses as catia certificate, autocad drafter certificate etc. , are these certificates helpful in finding a job?

Those certificates are not very important for job hunting. AutoCAD certificate is nothing. CATIA certificate may have some help. However, if you hold recent certificates, employers may think that you are brand new, you just learned. They need experienced people.

If you already have many years of using those software experience, you don't need to take certificate courses here. It will waste your money and time. If you don't know how to use them before, you should take some courses and get certificate.
