interview question from Philips Seattle

"As a project leader, How do you keep on track of your team members?"

This is a HR question from the phone interview. I failed in this question this morning. I would like to here your advice.

我的回答，不知是否正确，仅供参考.

I will think of them as my family members. I will let them trust me and like me as their team leader. Meanwhile, I will consider their suggestions and ideas what are good to our team.

Thanks for your response. My interview consultant told me before that the most important is you should give out detailed examples for every question. Not just focus on philosphy.

As project leader, I will put project schedule and workload for each team member in my organizer. and ask each member has their own task memo.

Base my time schedule I will request the member to report to me about their working progress and ask them what's the problem and what can I help them to solve their issues. More communication with them that will help me to tracking my team member's work.
