Journeyman Certificate Electrician
RESPONSIBILITIES:


> Provide preventative maintenance services for plant equipment
> Design and install control circuits
> Troubleshoot and repair of equipment (i.e. Printing Presses, Gas Fired Web Dryers, etc)
> Participate in safety and communication meetings
> Provide electrician on call duties
> Maintain environmental emission controls
> Maintain constructive relationships with internal customers and suppliers
> Advise, assist and drive change initiatives. Participates in management and continuous improvement activities
> Maintain open dialogue with maintenance and production managers by identifying concerns and opportunities for improvement
> Understand and practice the application of company culture and values
> Provide information to managers, supervisors and team leaders in a constructive manner
> Ensure that all Health and Safety standards are understood and practiced to ensure that all work is being completed in a safe manner
> Other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor
> Comply with safety policies and procedures
> Adhere to 5S workplace organization standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

> Completion of a post secondary Electrical program / Journeyman Certificate required
> 1 – 3 years’ successful manufacturing industry experience would be an asset
> Knowledge of safety procedures / policies i.e. lockout / tagout procedures
> Superior communication, analytical and trouble shooting skills
> Excellent communication and organizational skills are essential.
> Knowledge of PLC software (i.e. Allen Bradley, Siemens, ABB) and how to design electrical systems and repair electrical equipment
