Don't mislead others, now propositional logic and predicate logic are nearly 90% removed in csc236 ( there are one or two lecture review it in csc236 ), besides 165 is a super easy course and is the prerequisite of all 2nd year csc course ( 236/207/258 ).
If you take csc240 without 165 it will be ok, if it's 236 you should take 165 IMO unless you are going to take phl245 at same time.

For 2nd degree, it is hard to keep 100 level credits below 6. So, you'd better avoid taking 100 level courses. By the way, 1 year before, 238 includes everything, 165 and 236 are for white ppl, not Chinese.

By the way, in CS program, you can always get waiver as long as you think you can handle it.

Just talk with the prof. after the first lecture. You cannot lack a lot, 1 or 2 will be fine.

If you have taken 236, then you are not allowed to take 165.
Besides, the undergraduate office located on the 4th floor of BA is the best place to ask these questions.
