http://www.lumenlab.com/forums/index...pic=9613&st=20 Unbelievable! I built one yesterday using Squeeto's dollar store cooling rack (2 fer a buck) design and 12 gauge copper wire and lumber scavenged from a construction dumpster. It looks pretty much like the one in his picture less the high-tech plastic wood. Works like a champ sitting on top of my ent. center, will be mounted in my attic. My total cost is around $1.50. My wife thought I was a little crazy until she saw the results. I was using a flat panel antenna which only grabbed about half of the available channels, my OTA selection in Jacksonville, FL is amazing. Now I have to buy a digital TV for the bedroom... Here is the mount, more plastic lumber and a shelf hanger cut in half. I live on Vancouver Island (Canadian, West coast). I have tested this against my attic antennas and it seems to pull in some new analog stations out of Bellingham? I'll test this later after all the cabling is run through the house. I don't believe that we have any HD stations locally but there is at least one in Vancouver (Mainland) and some from just across the US border. The little antenna seems to work fairly well. |
