tax return about Rent payment

I paid the landlord with rent of 4 months in 2003. but I lived in his house for only 2 months as we are told to pay the rent with 2 month's advance.
How should I calculate the tax return? 2 months or 4 months.

What did you rent it for?
If it is for your business, hire an accountant to do the tax return for you.
If it is for your own living and at the same time to do the business which makes your income, you can deduct part of the rent as your expenses, you have to either study or hire someone to do your tax return.
If it is purely for your living, there has nothing to do with your income tax return.

By the way, it is not lawfull that your landlord asking you to pay your rent two months in advance and more (4 months rent for two ) than you have to pay except the Damage Deposit.
