加拿大有这样一种福利,大家是否知道?
你申请一所college, 上学一年，政府可以给你一些补助（grant)和无息贷款(loan)．要求：
１，你是低收入家庭
２，你不能拥有豪华车
３，你的出勤率不少于６０％
４，你的帐户上不能有大笔存款
等等．

总之，你越可怜，给你的钱越多. 最多可以给到２万２千多，其中１４０００多是grant的，不用还,８０００多是loan的，你找到工作后要还的．当然，你还得付７５００－２００００不等的学费．
夫妻可同时申请．也就是说，你一家最多可拿到４万５左右．如果你申请一个最便宜的专业，就当免费学语言，你一个人可以净赚１４０００－７５００＝６５００．两个人就是１３０００．
上课一般是上半天的，其余的时间去打打工，不是挺好的吗？

好象是有一年居住时间限制的。你是登陆后多久申请的？

本人没有申请osap,不知道是真是假,如不用还一半, 如EI学费申请不到,干脆申请osap,反正现在钱己不多了,有否谁申请过,能说下吗?

关于学生贷款的还款 “减免”

以下是本人(Tony YangYang)原创，要转贴请注明出处。多谢啦！

这次还学生贷款，确实是自己较粗心，光去看贷款中心NSLSC的网站去了，没有想到看安省的OSAP网站。所以问题一直没有搞明白。

今天才弄明白大家所说的“贷款减免”是怎么回事。



大家平时所说的“减免贷款”，原来是安省的一种学生补助计划，大家都说成“减免”。所以让我只看到Loan Debt Reduction计划，而这个计划并非大家所说的减免，这个需要离开学校至少5年以上才有资格申请。其实现在还说“减免”是错误的，以前确实也有个 fogiveness计划，但是现在已经被这个新的补助计划取代了。

那么，大家说的“减免”到底是什么呢？那是安省学生补助金计划（也可以说是优惠，怎么翻译大家自己看着办）- - Ontario Student Opportunity Grant。这个计划自己是无法申请的，安省政府会自动按你的情况给你这个补助。而他们的操作，和NSLSC是相互独立的，两者在减免操作上互不相干。

可以这么说：贷款中心NSLSC只管收你钱，而安省政府考虑给你补助（也就是大家说的减免），他们不是把补助的钱给你，而是寄给NSLSC贷款中心，以填补你自己有困难偿还的部分，一般是填补你的安省贷款部分。

之前我收到的2封信都是来自NSLSC －－ National Student Loans Service Center，他们不管什么减免。现在需要等安省OSAP的来信，就是所谓的减免信。

至于延期计息，那又是另外一个计划，不在这里说了。

Ontario Student Opportunity Grant

Purpose
The Ontario Student Opportunity Grant is available to help students reduce their annual Canada-Ontario Integrated Student Loan debt by limiting a student's repayable debt to $7,000 for a two-term academic year and $10,500 for a three-term academic year. It is available at the end of each of your academic years. The grant has been available since the beginning of the 1998–99 academic year. It replaces the former Loan Forgiveness Program. Loan Forgiveness will continue to be provided for loans issued from the 1993–94 academic year to the 1997–98 academic year.

目的：

安省学生优惠为帮助学生减少他们的年度联邦－安省联合贷款债务而设，限制条件是2个学期减少到$7000,三个学期减少到$10500.在每个学年末尾生效。这个优惠自1998-99学年生效。代替以前的贷款减免计划（Loan Forgiveness Program），Loan Forgiveness 将继续提供给1993-94到1997-98学年拿到贷款的借款者。



Eligibility Requirements （符合条件）

You are eligible for a grant if you meet all of the following requirements:
You negotiated a Canada-Ontario Integrated Student Loan in the 2004–2005 academic year.

You are entitled to a student loan(s) that exceeds $7,000 for a two-term academic year or $10,500 for a three-term academic year. How to Apply
You do not need to fill out a special application for this grant, because the information that you supply on your OSAP application is used to determine your eligibility.

Conditions
You are not eligible for a grant if you:

OSAP verifies with Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) your income and the income of your parent(s) or partner (if applicable) as reported through your OSAP application. If there is a discrepancy between the income that is reported to OSAP and the information received from Canada Revenue Agency, your loan entitlement is reassessed and the amount of loan you are entitled to receive may change. A change to the amount of loan you are entitled to receive may affect your eligibility for an Ontario Student Opportunity Grant.

OSAP通过你和你的实际税收（从加拿大政府得到），和你的父母或配偶的收入（如果有的话），对照你的OSAP申请的记录。如果有差异，你的贷款权利将被重新评估并且你的贷款数据将被改变。一个你贷款的数字的改变将影响到你的安省学生优惠的资格。

Receipt of Funding
The grant is not paid directly to you. If you are eligible, it is sent to the NSLSC to pay down your student loan(s). It is used to pay down the Ontario portion of your Canada-Ontario Integrated Student Loan. OSAP will send you a letter indicating the amount of your grant.

Reviews
If you have been denied a grant because you have not completed your academic year, your eligibility for a grant will be reconsidered if:

could not reasonably have been expected to complete the term.
You were expelled from one or more academic terms during the 12-month period before completing the term. As the result, you would have to repeat the term in the loan year subsequent to the granting of the appeal because you:
appealed the expulson and a properly constituted appeal body granted your appeal,
the duration of the period of expulsion reasonably precluded you from attending or carrying out the activities required to fulfil the program requirements of the term, and
you cannot reasonably be expected to complete the term.

据我遇到过的情况，家庭收入低的学生是可以从政府拿到更多的补贴，而且这补贴是先直接转去交学费（如果拿到钱的时候学费还未付清的话）。
认识一个从伊朗来的学生，他上学时刚只来加拿大3个多月，有老婆和一个孩子，夫妻二人都没工作，他同时申请了OSAP和补贴，批下来之后一算，补贴比贷款高。
还有别的，拿到的没这个人多，但只要申请了补贴，多少都拿到了一些。

这个人申请了好几种补贴，包括安省政府提供的和学校提供的，更具体的因为涉及到隐私，我不好细问，不能给你提供详细且准确的消息，Sorry。
最好的方法是你到准备入学的学校去问Financila Aid的人，他们最清楚，而且他们也愿意帮你的忙。

但如果上学并且打工，有了收入之后，每月会被减免一些钱。
我认为这本是一项对大家都好的政策，毕竟谁也不能保证自己家人不会面临失业。政府本意是在公民困难之时给与扶持一段时间的良好政策。可惜总被某些人滥用。
我知道他国移民一家，靠福利已经生存5，6年之久，两口子都不上班，去学英语， 孩子已经生了六个，老七可能明年二月出世。可怜我们的税收全被政府花在这些人身上。

可是他们也为加国做贡献了,加拿大需要劳动力,他们给加拿大创造了未来劳动力,加拿大无论从脑力到体力,都需要,对不对?

你说的有部分对,但是过分乐观了.首先,夫妻两个是不可能同时拿到高贷款的,因为你们住一块,他们统计的时候就只给你们一份的生活费,等等.
其次,没听说过有人可以拿14000的GRANT,最多给你3000千禧金加1000多的GRANT,而且千禧金不容易批,你们没有小孩基本没戏.
再次,你一年的还款额为最少7000,你读四年出来,最少还得还两万八.
再再次,你想借学生贷款赚钱基本做梦,他们都算好的,连生活费学费刚刚给你够,饿你不死,也不会怎么剩余的.

同意8楼的,OSAP没楼主说的那么好,有个贷款的上限,其次,这个不是投资,是给读书但是经济上有困难的学生的support. OSAP给college以上的学生,不管是专业课还是语言,不是那么容易的,而且没半天的课,最好也就是每周有那么半天或一天没课, 想读书要有个好心态, 不要想着占政府便宜,欠的总是要还的,是吧
