So far myself. 可以带backcountry tent,也有hut可以住。 Round Trip: 14km Elevation gain: 1160m High point: 1920m Driving distance from Vancouver: 145KM 參加者基本要求: 團隊精神 - 共进共退,友爱互助 责任与备注: 1. 户外活动有风险,一切组织和活动属自愿,责任自负。 2. 一切計劃會跟據當時天氣, 環境作靈活變動, 隊友應跟隨整體行進, 不可單獨行動。 集合地点: 待定 集合時間: 周五 Jul 18,2008 具体时间待定 參加者基本要求: 精神 - 共进共退,友爱互助 體能 - 有backpacking经历,近期有六小时以上hiking经历 必备装备: 1> 2 breakfast, 3 lunchs, 2 dinners & snacks 及煮食工具,炉头/气自带. 2> 2升水 3> 手套, hat 4> quick dry base layer 和 多套御寒保暖衣服(e.g. fleece/down jacket) 5> 防雨防风外套 6> 帐蓬, 睡袋,睡垫 7> 头灯/手电筒 8> backpacking背包及rain cover 9> 防晒霜,墨鏡,雪地的紫外线反射很厉害 10>Gaiters,防雪防湿鞋湿裤又能防脏 11>哨子 一些注意事项: 需要CARPOOL的朋友准备两双鞋(一双是登山鞋),在开始Hiking前和结束后,换上干净的鞋,这样省去车主打扫车内卫生,谢谢!还可以再准备一双备用的袜子。爬完山,能让脚舒服一下也是种享受 . 手套很有用,保暖防寒,要防水/快干的。(如果没有防水/快干手套也可带个二三双羊毛手套湿了替换用)! 防雨防风外套/雨具和保暖衣服! 责任与备注 户外活动有风险,一切组织和活动属自愿,责任自负! 此帖于 Jul 2nd, 2008 17:05 被 lfan_cn 编辑。 |

Thanks for reminding. I'm not going to Garibaldi Lake, but only Wedgemount Lake in Garibaldi Park. Not putting Wedgemount Lake in the title just because far less people know the name. I've been hiking those area lots of times.

BTW. You need to have sleeping bag and pad at least even without tent. Better not the ones for car camping as you'll carry them for 1000+m elevation gain. |

Not that difficult. Coastal Mountains are as great as Rocky Mountains but within day hiking / overnight range. You'll love it. Wedgemount Lake is my summer favorite of Coastal Mountains. As beautiful as (if not better than) most lakes in Rocky Mountains. It's far remote, usually less than 10 people around the lake even for summer weekends... |
