Heinz baby cereal recall
Heinz baby cereal recall Baby food is being recalled because it contains a possible carcinogen. Heinz Canada is recalling several lots of Mixed Baby Cereal because it contains high levels of a toxin produced by fungus called "Ochratoxin A". The fungi grows on several food crops, and is not normally a problem. Even if a child has eaten the cereal, parents are being told not be concerned because consuming the cancer-linked ingredient in small portions over the short term is not a serious health concern. Anyone who has containers of the affected product in their home should throw it out.
