doctor misjudged labor time
Hi there, our doctor obviously misjudged my wife's labor time - she gave the available delivery room to somebody else since she believed my wife could only start her labor 9-10 hours later when she last examed her at 10:00PM. but all the nurses saw my wife's labor started within an hour when we were waiting at a patient area without experienced delivering nurses (where mom and baby stay) and the hospital couldn't provide her a delivery room at that time. when they finally prepared a room in a rush ( we could see when we got into there) and almost forced my wife into a wheel chair and onto the delivery bed ( she couldn't even move at that time because her contraction was so strong at that time around 11:15-11:30 PM). when she got onto the bed we could see the baby's head already. the baby was born in 15 minutes at 11:45PM. it was quite a good experience when we had our first baby, but this time I was so angry about what happened to us and worried about my wife's feeling. one nurse in the hospital suggested us to talk to the manager in the hospital, but I'm not that interested - I don't want a apology. mom and the baby are doing well now - should I take some serious action or just let it go? thanks! |
