第一次领取的EI中，某公司的holiday pay被扣除了。请教：
合理吗？我觉得那个钱应该是我上班时候的，不应该算作领取ei其间的收入。

请有经验的朋友帮忙。

Mat leave期间，你仍然是公司的员工，所以你可以不急着要Vacation Pay，休完Mat Leave，拿完EI后，如果不想在原来的公司干了，可以找原来的公司要Vacation Pay，这样比较安全一些。

我觉得这不是最佳方案. 如果她休完产假想继续在此公司工作呢? 她将失去十几天的PAID VACATION, 如果VACATION不能CARRY FORWARD到下一年, 公司将在年底付VACATION PAY. 如果年底她还在MATERNITY LEAVE中, VACATION PAY会从EI中DEDUCTED.

Depands on how you take your vacation:

If you take your vacation and apply for maternity EI the week after, your vacation pay would be deducted from your EI payment week after week until it becomes $0 before you can get EI payment.

My suggestion: take your vacation, and work another whole week right before applying for EI, and you will get everything.

I think I will come back to work for this place after the MAT leave. Usurally I can take my vacation over to next year, but not sure if I can keep that over after the MAT leave. If not, I'd better take it as you suggested.
