Man, you make profit by PERCENTAGE, not by ticker price

I traced and traded this ticker over 8 months.

This is really a ticker if you wanna play with money maker. It just breakout this year high $100 and next target will be $130 ( year 2008?) Next year target will be 150-200.

The secret is copper furture keep going up. But be patient, wait it pull back to jump in.

First Quantum Minerals Completes Acquisition of Antares Minerals (ccnm)
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 16, 2010) - First Quantum Minerals Ltd. ("First Quantum" or the "Company") (TSX:FM)(LSE:FQM), Antares Minerals Inc. ("Antares") (TSX VENTURE:ANM) and Regulus Resources Inc. ("Regulus") (TSX VENTURE:REG), today announced the closing of the previously-announced plan of arrangement (the "Arrangement"), pursuant to which a wholly-owned subsidiary of First Quantum has acquired all of the outstanding securities of Antares. Under the Arrangement, each common share of Antares was exchanged for, at the election of the holder thereof, (i) 0.07619 of a common share of First Quantum (the "Share Consideration") or (ii) a cash payment in the amount of C$6.35 (the "Cash Consideration"), or a combination of both the Share Consideration and the Cash Consideration.
The Arrangement was carried out pursuant to the provisions of the Business Corporations Act (Alberta) and was approved by the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta and the affirmative vote of 100% of Antares' securityholders at a special meeting of shareholders held on December 10, 2010.
Pursuant to the Arrangement, First Quantum, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, acquired all 72,364,467 issued and outstanding common shares of Antares for aggregate Cash Consideration of approximately $2.6 million and aggregate Share Consideration of 5,481,963 common shares of First Quantum. As part of the transaction, Antares' 50% interest in the Rio Grande project located in Salta Province, northwestern Argentina, was spun out into Regulus, together with C$5 million in cash. Antares securityholders effectively received 0.4505 of a Regulus share for each of their Antares securities. Regulus is owned 90.1% by former Antares shareholders in aggregate and 9.9% by First Quantum.
The Antares common shares have been halted from trading on the TSX Venture Exchange and will remain halted until they are de-listed which is expected to be at the close of trading on December 20, 2010. The Regulus common shares are expected to be listed on the TSX Venture Exchange on December 20, 2010 under the symbol "REG". Regulus has filed a copy of its TSXV listing application on SEDAR at www.sedar.com.
Holders of Antares common shares are reminded that, in order to receive the consideration to which they are entitled pursuant to the Arrangement, they should properly complete and execute, as soon as possible, the Letter of Transmittal and Election Form delivered to them in connection with seeking the approval of the securityholders of Antares for the Arrangement, and present and surrender the certificate(s) representing their common shares in accordance with the Letter of Transmittal and Election Form, to Computershare Investor Services Inc., the depositary for the Arrangement, at the address indicated in the Letter of Transmittal and Election Form. Failure to present and surrender the certificate(s) representing such common shares on or before the sixth anniversary of closing will result in the termination of any entitlement of the holder of such common shares to receive the Share Consideration otherwise payable to such holder under the Arrangement.

I would say I made a wrong judement.

But it build up my comfidence to trade FM.to.

At this point, I rather than miss out this oppotunities becasue I do not know how high this rally will go.

Copper future rally quite long time and it should pull back at some point.

I will stay sideway to watch for this run

First Quantum Minerals Ltd.’s copper growth profile is one of the most attractive in the global mining sector, both for investors and potential acquirers, said TD Newcrest analyst Greg Barnes. The company appears set to become the next major global copper producer with output of one million tonnes annually by 2017, more than three times this year’s expected output, even though there are political and operational risks, he said.
Upside: Mr. Barnes upgraded First Quantum to an “action list buy” rating and hiked his 12-month target to $150 from $122.

First Quantum Minerals Ltd. offered up some details on its planned copper production growth and the prospects are so good that some analysts are expecting a big jump in its share price -- or even a takeover.
The company expects to hit production of 470,000 tonnes a year by 2015, which would come out of its already producing mines and those currently under construction. Add in development projects like Sentinel in Zambia and Haquira in Peru, and an incremental 500,000 tonnes per year is possible.
To get the newer development projects up and running, First Quantum has allocated about $2-billion (U.S.) for capital expenditures over the next few years. About half of this budget will go to the Sentinel project.
Following the production update, BMO analyst David Radclyffe called First Quantum “one of the strongest mid-term growth stories in copper, albeit this assumes delivery of one new project each year.” BMO has only Southern Copper Corp. beating First Quantum in production growth before 2015.
Before the new estimates were even out, TD analyst Greg Barnes went so far as to call the company “the next copper major.” “First Quantum’s copper growth profile is one of the most attractive in the global mining sector – both for investors and potential acquirers,” he wrote in a note to clients.
“We believe that First Quantum’s suite of large copper projects, its commanding position on the Zambian copper belt and its diversified asset base could move it to the top of the acquisition target list for any major mining company or state mining company seeking to position itself as a significant participant in the copper market,” he added.
Now contrast that with Quadra FNX , which took a big hit this week when management announced much lower production targets. The company said it expects to produce about 240 million pounds of copper in 2011, just 9 per cent more than the 220 million pounds produced in 2010. Plus, the outlook is well below the 300 million pounds for 2011 predicted by the company last spring.
Quadra’s stock has fallen about 15 per cent this week.
