petrol consumption

I just got a car , Ford Escort, wagon, 2.0L, BUT I found every time I filled up, 48L, I can only drive about 240--260km. should I or where could I get my checked???

If it's true that you just got the car, the reason for high fuel consumption could be your driving skills is not good enough, especially for driving this particular car. Once you are familar with it, it will be improved.

thanks your response, today I went to a repair shop, change air filter, it cost $30.hopefully it will work.

petrol is not the N0.1 problem on cost of a car,maintenance and insurance cost more.
